Georgia Football Freshman, Kelee Ringo will wear No. 5 in 2020

Georgia's top ranked corner, Kelee Ringo has given indication on the number he will wear for Georgia in 2020.

Kelee Ringo is the highest-rated corner to have ever signed with the University of Georgia, and since arriving on campus he's continued to turn heads and impress during workouts.

Now, the five-star freshman has given an indication of which number he will be wearing in 2020 for the bulldogs.

Known for his No. 7 at Saguaro High school in Arizona, Ringo will be wearing No. 5 in Athens.

Obviously No. 7 is occupied on the Georgia defense by Tyrique Stevenson. So, until Stevenson either gives the number to Ringo or departs for the NFL, Ringo will likely remain in the No. 5.

Even in an extremely crowded cornerback room at Georgia with players like Eric Stokes, DJ Daniel, Tyson Campbell, and Ameer Speed, Ringo will battle for playing time early on this fall because he's just that good.

I compare him to Patrick Peterson. And granted, Peterson is essentially a lock for the NFL hall of fame and was one of the best corners in college football history, but that's the type of talent we are talking about here with Ringo. Peterson was the original big-bodied corner. At 6'2, built like a safety with world-class track speed, he paved the way for much larger cornerbacks.
