Top Linebacker Chris Cole Commits to Georgia Football

A consensus top-10 linebacker has come off the board today when Chris Cole chose the Georgia Bulldogs over USC, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Penn State, and Miami.

Kirby Smart and his staff are ecstatic this afternoon in post-game meetings when they got official word that Virginia's top linebacker, Chris Cole, has committed to the Georgia football program over the likes of USC, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Miami, and Penn State. 

Fresh off a gameday visit to Tennessee and USC turned out not to be enough for either program to make Cole reconsider his decision. Although he is one of the nation's best linebacker prospects, Cole is the No. 4 rated indoor 60-meter hurdler and has been recorded running a 4.6s 40-yard dash. With his proven speed and agility, Cole will be a big help to the future of Georgia's defense. 

Cole, a 4-star and the nation's sixth-best LB, now brings the 2024 recruiting class to a total of 27 commits and is the second linebacker from the Commonwealth State of Virginia to join Georgia, Kristopher Jones being the first to do so.
