Georgia Football Pro-Day Preview
On Wednesday, March 15th, The University of Georgia will host numerous NFL scouts and coaches as part of its annual "pro-day". Many Bulldogs who previously declared for the draft and participated in the NFL Combine will likely use this day as a final showcase for teams ahead of the NFL Draft in April.
With an opportunity to perform one last time in front of scouts, here is what each Bulldog needs to do to possibly improve their draft stock.
"Do it Again"
Stetson Bennett, Nolan Smith, Darnell Washington, Broderick Jones, and Robert Beal all turned in excellent performances with Bennett and Smith being touted as the "biggest winners" of the combine. Having similar outings on Wednesday could even improve or solidify these five Bulldogs' future draft spots.
"Can Still Impress"
While Kenny McIntosh, Kelee Ringo, Christopher Smith, and Kearis Jackson by no means had "bad" outings in Indianapolis. But they certainly have an opportunity to increase their stock. Kenny McIntosh and Christopher Smith performed well in their respective drills but raised a few eyebrows with their forty-yard dash times. Shaving some time in their forties could significantly improve their draft stock. Jackson and Ringo can also boost their stock by making some head-turning plays and displaying their athleticism.
"Needs a Big Day"
Jalen Carter undoubtedly had one of the least desirable combine experiences out of his fellow Bulldogs. But on the bright side, none had to do with his physical abilities. Carter will be doing his drills in front of scouts for the first time and will need an excellent showing to prove that he is worthy of a top-10 pick.
"Show Up and Show Out"
Jack Podlesney and Warren McClendon didn't hurt or help their stock in Indy but can also jump a few spots in the draft with impressive performances. Warren Ericson did not participate in combine workouts and will be working out in front of scouts for the first time.
