Projecting How Georgia's 2024 Recruiting Class Will Finish

Projecting how Georgia's 2024 recruiting class will finish up and which players will be included in the list.

As the end of July approaches, Georgia currently has 26 players committed to their 2024 recruiting class. It might be suspected that the Bulldogs are close to finishing out this year's cycle, but there are still some targets that remain on the board and prospects that Georgia is hoping to add to their already loaded class. So let's take a look at how we project this year's class to finish out for the Bulldogs.

Of the potential targets that are set to make a decision soon, perhaps the biggest name still on the board is five-star safety KJ Bolden, and he will be making his decision public on August 5th. Bolden is a Georgia native and is a high school teammate now with current commit Dylan Raiola. His recruitment looks to be a battle between Ohio State and Georgia, but the Bulldogs appear to have the edge for the time being.

Georgia currently has two linebackers committed to this year's class after the addition of Justin Williams. The other linebacker that is currently committed to Georgia is Demarcus Riddick will be announcing his final decision between Auburn, Georgia, and Alabama on July 26th and the Tigers and Crimson Tide are expected to be the final two schools he will choose from. Even if, and likely when, Georgia loses out on Riddick though, there are still a couple of linebacker prospects that the Bulldogs are chasing after.

Kristopher Jones is a 4-star linebacker in this year's class out of Fairfax, Virginia. Jones is expected to announce his commitment here in the near future, and Georgia is the team to beat in his recruitment. On top of that, Chris Cole, out of Salem, Virginia, is another name to keep an eye on. He released his top eight schools earlier this month which included Georgia, Tennessee, Penn State, Miami, USC, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Miami but much like Jones, Georgia looks to be the team that holds the advantage.

Staying on the defensive side of the ball, another big-time name that hasn't announced his decision yet is Williams Nwaneri. He's rated as a top-five player in this year's class and his recruitment looks to be coming to an end soon. Georgia appears to be in a battle with Oklahoma for Nwaneri, but if there we were to give one of them the edge right now, it would be the Bulldogs. Two other defensive linemen two keep an eye on for this class are LJ McCray and Aydin Breeland. Georgia would gladly hold a spot open for either one of those big-time names.

It is also expected that Georgia will add another running back to this year's class and Nate Frazier is shaping out to be that guy. The Bulldogs already have Chauncey Bowens and Dwight Phillips in the class, and while Frazier does not have a commitment date set yet, Georgia is the team that we project to come out on top.

Georgia will also likely add another wide receiver to this year's class before it draws to a close. As to who that player will be, the Bulldogs will continue to weigh out their options. Mike Matthews and Jeremiah Smith are both currently committed to schools, but Georgia will still keep tabs on both players until they sign on the dotted line.

So clearly, based on what we have laid out here, there are still a good number of names that Georgia is still fighting to land for the 2024 class. The Bulldogs are expected to end this year's class with nearly 30 total commits, so there is still plenty to be excited about on the recruiting trail for Georgia fans.
