Amarius Mims Already Drawing the Eyes of NFL Execs Before 2023 Season
Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims is entering his first full season as the starting right tackle for Georgia. He played in all 15 games a year ago, but after having waited his turn behind Warren McClendon, Mims will get a chance to start for the entirety of the 2023 season.
Despite his lack of experience, Mims has already drawn the eye of NFL evluators. There's been plenty of rumblings about what's in store for Mims this season, and the hype is already building for his NFL Draft stock.
Mims was released listed as the No. 25 overall player on Mel Kiper's big board, and the fourth overall offensive tackle prospect entering the season.
Here's what Kiper had to say about Mims:
Mims has started two games in his college career and played just 492 total snaps, and yet I feel great about putting him in my top 25. Why? Because of what I saw in those snaps and what I've heard from college coaches and NFL front office execs. They expect him to be one of the best linemen in college football this season.
"One of the best linemen in college football this season." Those are the expectations for Mims in 2023.
