Georgia Looks to Complete Third Straight Perfect Regular Season in 2023

The Georgia Bulldogs have already made history within their program over the past two seasons. But they could continue their historic run by the end of the 2023 season

When Kirby Smart took over as the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs ahead of the 2016 season. The Georgia Bulldogs had never completed a perfect 12-0 season. Since then, the Bulldogs have finished two regular seasons with perfect records and will be looking to make it a third heading into the 2023 college football season.

The Bulldogs first reached this impressive feat in 2021 when they took down the likes of Clemson, Arkansas, Florida, and Auburn on their way to the first-ever 12-0 record in program history. They eventually would close out the historic 2021 season with a national championship victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

After the successes of the 2021 season, Georgia followed up their national championship with another perfect regular season record. Extending their regular season win streak to 27 games. The Bulldogs also became just the third team since the conception of the College Football Playoff to complete a perfect 15-0 season.

The Bulldogs' journey for a third straight perfect regular season (and another national title) will begin on September 2. When they host the UT-Martin Skyhawks in Athens. Kickoff for this matchup is currently set for 6 p.m.
