Georgia is a 3.0 point favorite today as they are set to take on the Auburn Tigers here on the Plains, and they are about as healthy as an SEC football team could possibly be this late into the season.

Gus Malzahn's squad is coming off a bye week, as seemingly every Georgia opponent has been this season (6 of last 7). They are a battle-tested squad. By regular seasons end, the Auburn Tigers will have played five top-10 opponents. With having already played Oregon, Florida, and LSU, and two out of the next three against rivals Georgia and Alabama.

Here are the projected starting lineups for the Bulldogs:

Offense:

  • QB: Jake Fromm, JR
  • RB: D'Andre Swift, JR
  • WR: Lawrence Cager, SR
  • WR: Kearis Jackson, RFR
  • WR: Demetris Robertson, JR
  • TE: Charlie Woerner, JR
  • LT: Andrew Thomas, JR
  • LG: Solomon Kindley, JR
  • C: Trey Hill, SO
  • RG: Ben Cleveland, JR
  • RT: Isaiah Wilson, RSO

Defense:

  • NT: Jordan Davis, SO
  • DT: Tyler Clark, SR
  • OLB: Azeez Ojulari, RFR
  • OLB: Malik Herring, JR
  • ILB: Monty Rice, JR
  • ILB: Tae Crowder, SR
  • FS: J.R. Reed, SR
  • SS: Richard LeCounte, JR
  • STAR: Mark Webb, JR
  • CB: Tyson Campbell, SO
  • CB: Eric Stokes, RSO

Key Talking Points:

  • Trey Hill was a full participant this week during practice after suffering an ankle injury last week vs Mizzou.
  • Ben Cleveland and Cade Mays have traded off starts throughout the season at right guard. We expect Coach Pittman to ride the hot hand, or guard if you will. Cleveland was awarded the SEC offensive lineman of the week last week.
  • Kearis Jackson was in the starting rotation to start the season against Vandy and after fully recovering from the broken hand he suffered in that contest, he received the start last week.
  • Tyson Campbell should start at corner after battling a toe injury over the last 6 weeks. He played against Missouri last week, though D.J. Daniel got the start.

ESPN's Football Power Index gives Georgia a 47.4% chance to win this pivotal road game, despite being the 3.0 point favorite in Vegas.

Just two of the last ten matchups in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry have been decided by one score or less. I would venture to say they will buck that recent trend in the series. A series in which Georgia leads by just three games after 123 contests.
