Offensive Players to Watch From Georgia Versus South Carolina

This Saturday afternoon, Athens, GA, will be a rave when the South Carolina Gamecocks come to town to take on the reigning champions, the Georgia Bulldogs. It will be the first conference matchup of the season for either team, and the Bulldogs and Gamecocks have some offensive players looking to break out this game. These few players will be worth the watch on Saturday afternoon.
Carson Beck
Although it may seem obvious as to why you should watch Beck this weekend, there are some real issues South Carolina may present for the year one quarterback. Their defense surely did against Heisman candidate Drake Maye, who threw two interceptions in the week one matchup. In the first two weeks, the Bulldogs offense has only amassed seven points in the first quarter. The Dawgs offense needs to come out hot early to help their defense put away the Gamecocks early, but Spencer Rattler won't go down without a fight.

Offensive Line
Both teams' offensive lines will be worth the watch this weekend. Defensively, South Carolina has given up 248 rushing yards and only totaled three sacks on the season (all against Furman). The Bulldogs' offensive line has helped clear a path for their running backs to rush for 248 yards on the season thus far and has also kept Beck off the turf, giving up no sacks when he's been in and just one late against Ball State.
Wide Receiver Room
Georgia's receiving room has had plenty of work in the first two games. Across the board, six receivers have already hit 50 yards for the season, and the wealth has been shared amongst all of them. They have all combined for 687 yards and 30 of Georgia's 93 points on the season (if you include Mekhi Mews punt return TD). Against a stout South Carolina secondary and a possible injury that could hold Ladd McConkey out, look to Rara Thomas, Mekhi Mews, and Brock Bowers being featured in Bobo's game plan on Saturday.
The Bulldogs have a ton of lethal weapons at their use offensively, but slow starts in the first quarters against mid-major programs are not promising. Things may be different this coming week against South Carolina, who has only given up 14 points in the first quarter all year. But these few players will make the difference in this week's contest.
