The Dawgs are on top big at half, in what appears to be another home game for the 2019 season. The Dawg Nation traveled and traveled well.

First Quarter

(7-0) The Bulldogs came out hot on offense, receiving the opening kick and going on a 75-yard drive in which UGA's first four plays were gains of 12+ yards or more.

One thing to be noted, senior running back, Brian Herrien received the start. A great way to show the appreciation for a veteran guy that's given everything to Georgia.

(14-0) On the second UGA drive, Jake Fromm led the Dawgs down the field featuring multiple connections with WR Matt Landers, and UGA scored on an 18-yard carry from James Cook

Second Quarter

(21-0) The Bulldogs defense continues to harass the Commodores, allowing just 29 total yards in the first half. The Bulldog offense drives down the field thanks to a 38-yard play action pass completion to Senior transfer Lawrence Cager

Capped off by a 3-yard TD run by Brian Herrien.

(21-3) Vanderbilt finally got on the board with help from a personal foul penalty on Divaad Wilson for a late hit out of bounds, and a facemask penalty as well.  12 play, 72-yard drive that was, 30 yards worth of penalties.

(21-6) Vandy notches their second field goal of the game just before the half. Assisted by a personal foul from Richard Lecounte III as well.

Key Players:

  • Demetris Robertson: Was featured heavily in the first half: Roberson had an explosive play called back due to a hold by RT Isaiah Wilson. Still, 2 receptions for 20 yards and 1 rush for 15 yards as well.
  • Nolan Smith: Saw action early in the first half, applying pressure on a key 3rd down in the first possession of the game for Vanderbilt.
  • Cade Mays: Made the start at right guard, beating out fellow 5-star Ben Cleveland. Has played well in the first half, dominating in the run game. Though Cleveland came into the game in the second quarter.
