Get Up! It's Gameday: Georgia vs UAB
The Georgia Bulldogs will continue their quest for a third straight national title when they host the UAB Blazers this evening in Athens. This will be the fourth straight home game for the Bulldogs to start the season.
The previous matchup between these two teams took place during week two of the 2021 season when the Bulldogs thrashed the Blazers by a score of 56-7. The only points that the Blazers scored were off of a pick-6 late in the fourth quarter.
Leading up to tonight's game, Bulldog fans have been teased by the team's equipment staff at the possibility that the Dawgs will be wearing their iconic "blackout" jerseys for their matchup. While there is still no confirmation as to whether the team will be doing so, the prospect has many fans excited.
Should the Bulldogs emerge victorious in Saturday's game, it will be their 21st straight win. A streak that dates all the way back to the 2021 season. Saturday will also be Kirby Smart's 100th game as Georgia's head coach.
