Coming into tonight's game, Jake Fromm was (0-5) in games in which he had to throw the ball at least 30 times. Today, in easily the most important game for the Georgia Bulldogs last year's SEC Championship game, Jake Fromm broke that wretched streak.

Believe it or not, Jake Fromm at one point was accustomed to having to throw the ball, during his four years as a starter for Houston County he averaged 29.5 attempts per game. Oddly close to this previously cursed threshold.

Last night, Jake Fromm completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 279 yards and two scores on a 96.2 QBR, his second-highest rating of the season. But no completion was bigger than a 3rd & 7 ball thrown to Eli Wolf with 2:45 left on the clock. The completion iced the victory for the Bulldogs.

Fromm has historically shredded the famous Todd Grantham, blitzaholic defenses. As a true freshman in 2017, against a Miss State defense led by Grantham, Fromm was only 9 of 12... for 201 yards, 2 TDs and a 270.7 rating.

The tradition continued as a sophomore, except with Grantham running the Gators. Fromm gutted Florida on 17 of 24 for 240 yards and three scores.

This could very possibly be Fromm's WLOCP swan song, with his draft stock seeming to vary from mid-first to the third round. So, for him to walk off with his best performance to date.

But it's more than just his stat line, as usual. Fromm's ability to command the huddle, command the line of scrimmage, and keep the offense in a winning position is unmatched at the college level. That was never more on display than tonight, in a situation where Florida has 7 or 8 guys in the box, 5 of which were often walked up with their hand down.

Just continue to enjoy what you have in Jake Fromm, Bulldog Nation because this type of stability, work ethic, and most importantly leadership doesn't come around every day.
