Jason Kelce Discusses Jalen Carter and his Character

See what Eagles' Veteran Jason Kelce had to say about Jalen Carter

The Philadelphia Eagles have garnered the attention of many Georgia fans after acquiring a total of six Bulldogs in the previous two drafts. But one of the Eagles' most notable pickups Jalen Carter, has been in the national spotlight for quite some time.

Carter first burst onto the scene near the end of the 2022 football season with his ability to seemingly wreck entire offensive lines. However, his involvement with the tragedy of January 15, Carter's character was brought into question.

Despite concerns, the Eagles selected Carter as the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Longtime offensive lineman Jason Kelce discussed how he felt about the Eagles' decision on his podcast "New Heights" and what he personally thought about Carter's character concerns.

"I don't get too concerned with character stuff. Especially when it comes to college kids." Said Kelce, "These are highly transformative years for all of these guys."

Kelce did acknowledge the legitimacy of concerns around Carter but also stated that he believes as long as Carter "buys in" as a professional, he will have a lengthy, fruitful career.

"As long as he dedicates himself, as long as he becomes a professional. He has a chance to have a life-changing career in the NFL."
