Javon Bullard says Bulldogs are "Still Eating off the Floor"

Georgia safety Javon Bullard spoke about how he and the Georgia Bulldogs were avoiding complacency ahead of the 2023 season

Javon Bullard made a name for himself in the back half of Georgia's 2022 national championship season and burst onto the national scene with two interceptions against TCU in the national championship. But though he and the Georgia Bulldogs have reached unimaginable heights, the Milledgeville, Ga native says that the Dawgs are still hungry for more.

In a media presser after Saturday's G-Day game, Bullard stated that there is still plenty of work to be done, despite having won two national championships in as many seasons.

"We're still eating off the floor man. Okay, we won the natty year before. Okay, we won one last year. So what? We're trying to do some things that nobody has ever done before. So, in order to do that we gotta be better than we were last year."

The term "eating off the floor" has been used quite frequently around the Georgia program as of late to describe the attitude that the team must have in order to maintain its success.

Bullard finished the day with a couple of tackles and even made an acrobatic interception that was eventually called back due to a holding penalty. His efforts were unfortunately not enough to help the black team secure a victory as they were defeated by the Red team by a score of 31-26.
