After attending the rookie mini-camp the Tennessee Titans held last weekend, former Georgia WR Kearis Jackson has been signed by the team. Jackson did not take part in workouts, but he was one of six players that the Titans added to their roster after the mini-camp.

The Peach County (GA) product is still not assured of a roster spot, but his new deal with the Titans represents a positive step towards that ultimate goal. Jackson was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Tennessee following April's NFL draft, but his new contract ensures that Jackson will open training camp with the club this summer where he will have an opportunity to make the team's 53-man roster.

The NFL Network's Tom Peliserro previously reported that Jackson's initial rookie free-agent deal came with $78,000 guaranteed, but his new deal will provide him the opportunity to make considerably more. While it does not include any additional guaranteed money, if Jackson were to ultimately make the Titan's opening day roster, his new contract will pay him $750,000 in 2023 and $2.695 million over the course of the three-year deal.

The former Georgia WR totaled 78 receptions for 1,107 yards and four touchdowns during his Georgia career. Jackson's best season came during the COVID-plagued 2020 season when he caught 36 passes for 514 yards and three touchdowns, highlighted by a nine-catch, 149-yard performance against Auburn. An offseason knee surgery kept him from carrying that momentum into 2021 and the emergence of other offensive weapons cut into his reps in 2022. After being selected to the 2022 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and serving as one of only three student representatives on the UGA Athletic Association Board of Directors, Jackson is also a strong locker room presence.
