Recruiting

It's one of the biggest recruiting weekends in Georgia history, as upwards of 50+ 4 & 5-star recruits are on visits today in Athens. Needless to say, I'd expect some commitments to come this next week.

First Quarter

Notre Dame won the toss and elected to receive

ND's first drive is featuring a lot of misdirection plays. Certainly, a decent script put together so far for Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame offense, but they ultimately stall out, Bulldogs ball at their own 9 yard-line.

UGA's first drive resulted in a 3 & out, backed up in their own end. 20-yard shank from Camarda, ND starts their second drive with great field position.

A defensive battle has broken out here in the first quarter, still scoreless with just over 5 minutes left in the opening quarter. Notre Dame is certainly struggling with the crowd noise.

Quarter ends (0-0)

Second Quarter

Tyler Simmons muffed a punt, Notre Dame recovers inside the UGA 10-yard line. The game's first turnover, and it's a big one.

(7-0) Notre Dame scores on a 1-yd TD pass from Ian Book to TE Cole Kmet

Georgia is moving the ball methodically down the field midway through the second quarter. Yet to have a big play from the offense, but all positive plays.

(7-7) UGA finally gets on the board behind a D'Andre Swift run from 3-yards out. a 14 play, 75-yard drive. A grinder of a series from the Dawgs offense.

(10-7) The Irish kick a field goal with to end the half

Third Quarter

Georgia is set to receive the second-half kickoff, and after driving passed midfield and almost converting a 3rd & 16, UGA is forced to punt.

Divaad Wilson intercepts Ian Book and returns the interception back to the Notre Dame's 22-yard line.

(10-10) Rodrigo Blankenship ties it up after the turnover from Notre Dame.

Notre Dame punts on it's ensuing possession.

(13-10) Rodrigo Blankenship's second field goal of the game gives Georgia their first lead with 4:21 left in the third quarter.

Notre Dame continues to have problems with the crowd noise, 6 false start penalties in the contest so far.

D'Andre Swift hurdles a Notre Dame defender Knoshon Moreno style

Fourth Quarter

Georgia begins the 4th quarter knocking on the door, just outside the Notre Dame 20 yard-line.

(20-10) Georgia extends its fourth-quarter lead on the back of Lawrence Cager. Cager had three incredible grabs, including the touchdown.

J.R. Reed makes an interception as Notre Dame attempts a flea-flicker. Georgia has the ball, up 20-10 with just over 11 minutes left to play.

(23-10) Jake Fromm nearly converts a 3 & 11 with his legs, but upon further review they brought the spot back a half yard to make it a 4th & short. Blankenship drills his third FG of the contest

(23-17) It only took Notre Dame 3:52 and 10 plays to drive 75 yards to bring the contest to within one score.

Georgia's defense makes a final stand, despite yet another shanked punt from Camarda. DAWGS WIN!!!
