Sedrick Van Pran Named to SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week List
The experienced junior center for the Georgia Bulldog's football team, Sedrick Van Pran, played a vital role in what Georgia was able to accomplish in the second half versus South Carolina to cap off their 14-3 comeback win over the Gamecocks—due to his part in the game, the SEC named him the Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Pran, who started each of Georgia's games in 2022, started in his 33rd consecutive game this past Saturday. Also, in yesterday's game, Pran helped the Bulldogs pick up 458 yards with five pancake blocks to help get 189 of those yards in the run game.
Though to Georgia fans, the Bulldogs have had one of the best offensive line units for many years, Georgia had their first offensive lineman named to this honor in 2020 with Ben Cleveland, who was named to this award twice that season. SVP takes home the first weekly honors of the season for Georgia and will lead them back into action Saturday night against UAB on ESPN2.
