Stetson Bennett Officially Signs With Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams have officially signed rookie Stetson Bennett to a four-year rookie contract. The deal is estimated to be worth $4.54 million and spans the next four seasons.
Bennett, a former walk-on turned Heisman finalist led the Georgia Bulldogs to its first national title during the 2021 season. Then followed it up with a second national title, in which he broke the Bulldogs' single-season record for total yards thrown.
During the 2023 NFL draft, Bennett was selected as the 128th pick in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Rams where he became the highest-drafted Georgia quarterback since Super Bowl LVI champion, and now teammate Matthew Stafford.
According to reports, Bennett has been greatly impressive during summer practices thus far. His athleticism has drawn the attention of notable Rams players like Cooper Kupp.
“He’s made some really big-time throws and is seeing the field well. Also, he can move. He’s a pretty athletic dude, so I think he’s definitely the most athletic quarterback from Georgia that we got on our team.”
Bennett will likely make his debut with the Rams during the team's preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
