Top-50 Recruit Blue Cain Commits to Georgia Basketball
Mike White is making impressive strides on the recruiting trail in his first full offseason as the Georgia Bulldogs' head coach. Aside from pulling in a handful of notable transfers from the portal, White has now earned a commitment from a top 50 player in the 2023 recruiting class.
Georgia's newest commit, Blue Cain is a 4-star shooting guard from Bradenton, Fl and is the eighth highest-ranked player in the state of Florida. He has drawn interest from notable schools such as Georgia Tech, Virginia, and Penn State.
His commitment to the Bulldogs is a massive step in the right direction for Mike White's program. After finishing the 2022 recruiting cycle with the 50th-ranked recruiting class, Georgia now boasts the 17th overall class in the nation. Should these rankings hold, this will be the highest-rated recruiting class for Georgia's basketball team since 2019 when the Dawgs signed future No.1 overall pick Anthony Edwards.
Cain's impact on Georgia's offense will likely be immediate, as the Bulldogs have lost both of their leading scores from the 2022 season to the transfer portal and NBA Draft.
