2019 UGA Football Score Predictions
Jake Fromm and company have the 2nd hardest schedule in the SEC according to CBS and a lot of that has to do with the Notre Dame game early in the season, along with having to play Auburn and A&M in consecutive weeks later on in the year.
Today we give a score prediction for each game and take a look at some of the key matchups this season.

Key Matchups:
8-31: @Vanderbilt
When these two teams played in October of last season UGA put on a show in between the hedges. Blowing the Dores off, (41-13)
This season there is no tune-up game prior to the of SEC play for the Dawgs (though they will get those soon). So, even though Coach Smart and staff would prefer a warm-up or two before they head to Nashville, this game shouldn't be a problem for the Dawgs.
Whoever starts at quarterback for the Commodores will be doing so for the first time in SEC play. Mo Hassan was on the roster last season, but sat behind Senior, Kyle Shurmur. So, UGA will look to harass the inexperienced young man.
Score Prediction: UGA (38-14)
9-21: Notre Dame
In a rematch of the 2017 thriller in South Bend, the Irishmen make their way down to Sanford Stadium to take on the Bulldogs.
Ian Book threw for just over 2600 yards last season and presents an interesting set of problems because of his athleticism. If UGA can keep him within the pocket, they could have some success.
While neither teams go through a gauntlet before this game, UGA will be primed and ready to get back to playing the big boys after spending two weeks playing the likes of Murray State and Arkansas State.
UGA wins a tight one in Athens, carried through by the home crowd.
Score Prediction: UGA (28-24)
11-2: Florida (Jacksonville)
I am well aware that everyone in the national media seems to think Dan Mullen has Florida on the right track and that they are seemingly getting better.
But forgive me for being the Gator hater, I just don't see it. You are who you recruit for the most part in the SEC, and Florida hasn't signed a 5-star recruit since Martez Ivey in 2015, who is now on to the NFL.
Dan Mullen is labeled this QB whisperer all because of what? He stood next to Tim Tebow? I just don't see it. Not to mention they currently have 2 linebackers on the roster after the litany of transfers leaving the program.
Score Prediction: UGA (24-17)
11-16: @Auburn
This November portion of the schedule is where IF UGA were to lose a game this season, it'd land somewhere in this stretch of games. (Florida, Missouri, @Auburn, Texas A&M)
Auburn will be the toughest of those matchups in my opinion. Though they had a down season last year, Malzahn is nice and comfy after signing his extension this offseason.
Auburn will have to find and establish a starter Quarterback, but they are solid all around and we've seen some crazy stuff go down at Jordan-Hare stadium. Huh, Tray Matthews?
Score Prediction: UGA (35-34)
11-23: Texas A&M
These two teams have played only 5 times in their history, the last matchup coming in the 2009 independence bowl (UGA won 44-20)
Kellen Mond is one of the few returning starters in the SEC at Quarterback, and the Aggies have a lot of optimism about this season. But the reality is, they could already have 3 or 4 losses before they even come to Athens at the end of the season.
They've gotta play Clemson, Bama, and LSU before they even get to us. So, UGA will most likely be playing for a playoff birth at this point, while Texas A&M will be playing to see if its the Outback Bowl or the Citrus Bowl.
Score Prediction: UGA (31-18)
