NFL Draft Javon Bullard: "This Game Should Be Played One Way"
Georgia safety Javon Bullard talks about his style of play on the football field, saying there's only one way to play this game.
The University of Georgia's roster acquisition strategy under head coach Kirby Smart has been extremely fruitful on the recruiting trail. They've signed the No. 1 consensus class three times in the last five cycles and they've managed to produce more first round draft picks over the last three years than any other football program. It's been clear they can identify, land, and develop high-end talent.
However, players like safety Javon Bullard are perhaps the backbone of Georgia's success stories on Saturdays. Bullard, like many underrated prospects before him, was a lowely three-star coming out of high school. In fact, Georgia was Javon Bullard's only Major Power-5 offer coming out of high school. The Bulldogs noticed something about Bullard back in 2021. That something? Well... violence and physicality on the football field, are something that Bullard prides himself on to the day.
Bullard was recently on the NFL Network for an interview and talked about his style of play.
"I feel like this game should be played one way. And then you know, if you aren't up to plan that way, then you shouldn't be playing this game in my opinion, man. So physicality is a huge part of this game and I embrace that I take a lot of time for that. No, you know, I love that part about my game and I'm gonna continue to get better at it."

Bullard isn't just about lip service either. He was one of Georgia's biggest playmakers on tape the last three seasons at Georgia and has constantly put his "lesser-than" frame on full display for all to see. He plays with a level of disregard for his own body that is not only admirable, it's enviable on the next level.
