2020 UGA Recruiting Class: 4-Star Warren Brinson Narrows List to Two
Warren Brinson committed to The University of Georgia in November of last season. After having second thoughts, he de-committed from UGA and re-opened his recruitment.
Even though he plays down at IMG Academy, he grew up in Savannah, Georgia and grew up a Dawgs fan. As you can see in his tweet about de-committing from UGA, he feels comfortable with the coaching staff and said in January that Georgia will always be one of his top schools.
Kirby Smart has been adamant this offseason about UGA's need for defensive linemen, interior d-line especially. Brinson is a player that's only gotten better since his original commitment to UGA. This camp season has been good to him, as his 247 ranking has risen from a 3-star to 4.
As is the case for most of these 2020 recruits, the visits will be extremely important in the decision-making process. Which alludes to Coach Smart's points on Paul Finebaum's show.
Wouldn't it be awesome for Brinson to take his official visit to Athens, Georgia during a home game against Florida? Instead, he's unable to take a visit to the game in Jacksonville because neither team is allowed to host recruits.
