WATCH: 2024 Defensive Lineman Eddrick Houston Talks Recruitment with Georgia
The Georgia Bulldogs once again are compiling a strong list of prospects and are on pace to end the 2024 recruiting cycle with an immensely impressive class. One of the players that they are continuing to recruit and hopefully add to the program's upcoming class is defensive lineman Eddrick Houston out of Buford, Georgia.
Houston is rated as one of the top prospects in the country for this year's class, and Georgia has made him a priority in the class. The Bulldogs have recently had a lot of success when it comes to developing and recruiting high-caliber defensive linemen, and there's a possibility that Houston adds himself to the mix.
Dawgs Daily caught up with Houston following Buford's spring scrimmage game against Norcross and the highly touted recruit discussed his ongoing relationship with both Georgia and defensive line coach Tray Scott, as well as, the position they are recruiting him to play.
Houston mentioned that this season for Buford, he is going to play the role of a true edge rusher on the weak side of the defense which is the same role that the Bulldogs are recruiting him to play. Very similar to the way that Georgia utilized Travon Walker during his playing days in Athens.
In the interview, the defensive line prospect mentioned that he will be in Athens from June 9-11. He also said that Coach Scott is always trying to get him on campus to watch game film and continue to build upon the relationship that they already have. Other schools that still remain in the mix outside of Georgia include Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and USC. Houston said he will wrap up his commitment on August 22nd, which is also his birthday.
