As we've talked about before, recruiting under Coach Smart is a different animal. Last year we marched into the late signing period with only 2 spots to fill. Here we are in mid-June with only a handful of spots available. As it stands today we have a total of 13 public commitments and a max number of 22 or 23 total spots available in this class, if my calculations are correct. Several of the available spots are already locked up by silent commitments and the remaining are earmarked for particular positions.

As the recruiting season starts to heat up, numbers will get even tighter. The 9-10 available spots we currently have could easily be cut in half. Or even further if a few chips fall in our direction. It would be fair to think we may enter the season looking to fill only 3-4 spots. With that being said let's take a look at my top 5 most wanted, or maybe most likely to make this summer one to remember

Kendall Milton - 5 Star RB, California (6'2"/220) - Kendall has an excellent mixture of what I love most about running backs. Vision, speed, power, size, and absurd balance. He has freshman All-American written all over him.

Kelee Ringo - 5 Star CB, Arizona (6'2"/205) - Like Kendall, Kelee has an SEC frame right now. I've heard some say he may have to tone down his aggression. I'd say he's just warming up for SEC football. His speed, size, and strength to go along with his well-above-average ball skills should get him on the field early.

Here's a look at some of Ringo's highlights:

Corey Wren- 3 Star ATH-WR, Louisiana (5'9"/170) - Corey came on to the scene a little later than some but has wasted no time getting noticed. Corey is an outstanding athlete with tremendous speed. His 100-meter times are in the 10.4 range and I've heard of a sub 4.4 40 yard dash time. That my friends is blazing fast. I could see him land quickly in a role similar to Isaiah McKenzie.

Andrew Raym

Andrew Raym- 4 Star G, Oklahoma (6'5"/285) - Andrew is another Sam Pittman prototype. Huge frame, excellent hands, feet and a vision for the second level. His frame will allow him to add good weight and give him a lot of versatility. He's the type of kid that could eventually provide high-quality reps at all 5 positions across the O-line.

Noah Sewell - 4 Star ATH-LB, Utah (6'2"/266) - Noah is crazy big and compact. I've heard multiple Devin White comparisons, except Noah is a bit bigger. His size at ILB is rare, he will be able to withstand SEC physicality from day 1. Could you imagine Nakobe and Noah tracking down ball carriers for 2-3 years?
