Where Will Kam Mikell Commit To?
South Georgia will see another prospect come off the recruiting board today when Kam Mikell chooses his future college between Tennessee, Georgia, and Colorado.
The 4-star cornerback from Statesboro High School stands about 6'1 and weighs in at about 180 pounds and he is extremely athletic and poses great speed.
Colorado
Coach Prime and the Buffaloes have done well on the recruiting trail and inside the transfer portal since he took over this past spring. But, with a current record of 4 wins and 7 losses, the Buffs have been losing pieces left and right on the recruiting trail. Mikell still could land with Colorado, but it is likely not to happen with the lack of momentum there.
Tennessee
The Volunteers could pose the biggest threat in landing Mikel. Jos Heupel and co. have done well in his first few seasons, having been able to land big-time recruits on the trail in areas the team needs to improve at. With Mike Matthews already decided he will commit to the Vols over the Dawgs, Mikell could follow his path to Knoxville.
Georgia
Kirby Smart and the Dawgs are the leading teams in Mikell's recruitment and for good reason. One of the main reasons could be the limited depth in the DB room in 2024. Another reason he would wanna go to the Dawgs is the way their secondary has been competing for the last two weeks against high-caliber passing offenses. Mikell will likely land with the Dawgs tomorrow afternoon.
With one more day for Mikell to make his decision, the way things are leaning right now, Georgia is seemingly in the lead for this super-talented corner. Things could certainly change in his recruitment, but right now it looks like the Dawgs have landed another one.
