Just when you think you have this team figured out, Georgia Tech goes on the road and gets another upset win.

The Yellow Jackets lost in blowout fashion against Clemson on Wednesday, but they put it behind them and won as near double-digit underdogs. Miami had not been playing well heading into this game, but Georgia Tech looked like it was approaching rock bottom at several turns and with just a few games to go, they could have easily mailed it in.

They did not though and got their fifth ACC win.

It did not come easy and the Yellow Jackets nearly blew a double-digit lead in the second half when the offense went cold and did not score for over seven minutes.

Nait George, Miles Kelly, Kowacie Reeves, Baye Ndongo, and Tafara Gapare were the starters for Georgia Tech today.

Georgia Tech got one of its best games of the year from Miles Kelly. Kelly is the most talented scorer that the Yellow Jackets have, but he is inconsistent from game to game. Today, he was on fire from three, making 7 of 11 three-point attempts and scoring 25 points, while also grabbing seven rebounds.

Reeves scored 15 points on 6-11 shooting and while Kyle Sturdivant only had 10 points, his free throw shooting down the stretch won the game for Georgia Tech.

The underrated part of this victory might be Georgia Tech's defense in the second half. After giving up 49 points and allowing Miami to shoot 56% from the field and 60% from three in the first half, Georgia Tech only allowed 27 points in the second half and held Miami to 30% from the field and 19% from three.

Now, Georgia Tech will have a full week off before their last home game next Saturday against Florida State. The Yellow Jackets are still at the bottom of the ACC, but they are only a game and a half from being 11th. It was a good way to bounce back from being embarrassed on Wednesday night.
