Updated ACC Basketball Standings (2/18/24)

Georgia Tech moved out of last place with their win against Syracuse on Saturday

For now, Georgia Tech worked its way out of last place in the ACC. 

The Yellow Jackets were able to secure a win over Syracuse last night and get their fourth win in ACC play. Damon Stoudamire's team will have Clemson and Miami this upcoming week. 

At the top, North Carolina stayed in first place by beating Virginia Tech. Duke and Virginia are right behind the Tar Heels. One of these three teams is likely to take the regular season title and this week's game between the Cavaliers and the Tar Heels has big implications. 

Pitt, NC State, and Wake Forest are all at 8-6 in conference play, but the Panthers are the hottest team in the ACC. They have won five straight games and have played their way into NCAA Tournament contention. The Wolfpack and Demon Deacons are on the fringes of that and need strong finishes to the season. 

Clemson and Florida State are both 7-7 in conference play and both had tough losses over the weekend. Clemson seems pretty securely in the NCAA Tournament even with the loss though. 

Syracuse is 7-8 after their road loss to Georgia Tech yesterday. Virginia Tech and Boston College are both 6-8 while Miami, a Final Four team a year ago, dropped to 6-9 in conference play yesterday. The Hurricanes have been the most disappointing team in the conference this year.

Notre Dame (4-10), Georgia Tech (4-11), and Louisville (3-12) make up the bottom of the conference.
