2025 Georgia Tech Target Marshall Pritchett Sets Commitment Date and Reveals Top Six Schools
One of Georgia Tech's 2025 targets has set his commitment date for the end of this week.
Tight end Marshall Pritchett, who plays at Rabun Gap High School in Georgia, will make his college commitment at the end of the week on Saturday, March 23rd, and the Yellow Jackets are among the final six schools that Pritchett is choosing from. The other schools in his top six include North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Miami.
This would be a huge commitment for Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets have not landed a prospect in the 2025 class yet, but they have been in the running for several. Let's see if Brent Key and his staff can close this recruitment out and land a talented, in-state tight end.
Pritchett was teammates with 2024 Georgia Tech signee Trey Horne.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Pritchett is the No. 410 player in the country, the No. 24 tight end in the country, and the No. 44 player in the state of Georgia.
Some stats and info on Pritchett, courtesy of 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins:
"2022: Made the position switch from QB to TE/WR. Self-reported 52 catches for 900 yards and 9 TD. Earned some all-conference recognition after helping Rabun Gap-Nacoochee post an 8-4 record."
Key and this staff had a great finish to the 2024 class, getting four-star running back Anthony Carrie on Signing day, as well as flipping defensive end Amontrae Bradford from Colorado. It was the highest-ranked class for Georgia Tech since 2020 and will be a good foundation to build on for the future. Coming off of a successful signing day and a bowl win over UCF, this program has some momentum going into the 2024 season. That momentum has yet to yield any 2025 commitments, but it is March and there is still a long way to go in this year's recruiting cycle.
