Georgia Tech Makes the Cut for 2025 Edge Taeshawn Alston
Georgia Tech has yet to earn a commitment in the 2025 class, but they are making the cut for several of their top targets. The latest of those targets is 2025 edge Taeshawn Alston, a 2025 recruit who plays at Vance County High School in North Carolina.
The other schools in Alston's top six are South Carolina, Rutgers, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech. Per the 247Sports Composite, Alston is rated as a three-star player, the No. 427 player in the country, the No. 31 edge, and the No. 10 player in the state of North Carolina.
Earlier this week, Georgia Tech made the cut for four-star wide receiver Travis Smith Jr.
The other schools in Smith's top eight include Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Colorado, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Smith Jr is a four-star prospect, the No. 196 player in the country, the No. 25 wide receiver in the country, and the No. 27 player in the state of Georgia.
2024 Forward Justin Pippen Receives Offer From Georgia Tech
Smith Jr is one of the top targets at wide receiver for the Yellow Jackets and would be a huge addition to the Georgia Tech offense. At 6'4 191 LBS, he is a big-bodied receiver and makes tough, contested catches look easy. Keep an eye on this recruitment going forward.
Five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham has been pursued by Georgia Tech for some time and has the Yellow Jackets in his top 12 schools.
Mississippi State, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida State, and Oklahoma are the other schools that make up his top 12.
Cunningham is a multi-sport athlete and will be one of the most highly-coveted prospects in the upcoming class. He has great size and frame (6'3 180 LBS) that he will grow into and he has all the traits of a top receiver prospect.
The offer list for him is extensive. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, and Tennessee are some of the offers that Cunningham holds.
