Georgia Tech is hard at work identifying prospects for this upcoming recruiting class and beyond and the offers have been coming in fast and furious. One of the headlining offers that went out from the Yellow Jackets staff today was to four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, who is rated as a top 100 player in the 2025 recruiting class.

Campbell plays at Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina and according to the 247Sports Composite, he is a four-star player and the No. 72 player in the country, the No. 5 defensive lineman in the country, and the No. 4 player in the state of North Carolina. Other offers that Campbell has are Clemson, Alabama, North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, and USC, among others.

The 2024 season opener is now less than seven months away. The Yellow Jackets will face Florida State in week zero of the college football season and their matchup in Dublin, Ireland is going to be the first big game of the season. Florida State is coming off of a 13-0 regular season and ACC Championship and will be favored to win another conference title. This has a chance to be a strong start for Georgia Tech and a huge victory for the program, but one thing is for sure, it will not come easy.

There are reasons for optimism next year for Georgia Tech. They finished the 2023 season strong and with one of the best offenses in the ACC. They return the bulk of the production on offense, including quarterback Haynes King, who just might be the best quarterback in the ACC. The concerns are going to be about the defense, which was the worst in the ACC last season. Key has hired new assistants Jess Simpson (defensive line), Tyler Santucci (defensive coordinator/inside linebackers), and Kyle Pope (outside linebackers) in hopes of engineering a turnaround on that side of the ball.

There is still a way to go before we get to the 2024 season, but the Yellow Jackets are already hard at work preparing.
