Three-Star Offensive Tackle Jameson Riggs Officially Signs with Georgia Tech
Three-star offensive tackle Jameson Riggs committed to Georgia Tech in late July over Clemson and Auburn and now, he is officially a member of the Yellow Jackets.
Riggs, who played at Hiram High School in Georgia, is one of five offensive linemen committed to Georgia Tech and for the past two cycles, it has been a position of emphasis for Geep Wade and Brent Key. Georgia Tech has prioritized size with their offensive line and at 6'4 300 LBS, Riggs checks that box and a lot more.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Riggs is a three-star player, the No. 674 player in the country, the No. 46 IOL, and the No. 79 player in the state of Georgia.
It was a huge recruiting win for Georgia Tech getting Riggs over Clemson and Auburn and I think with development, he will be a solid player for the Yellow Jackets in the future.
He held other offers from Clemson, Auburn, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, NC State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, and USC, among others.
Riggs took officials to Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Clemson. It came down to those three and Brent Key and Georgia Tech were able to beat out Dabo Swinney and Hugh Freeze for Riggs.
This is a big addition to Georgia Tech. I think that Riggs is an underrated player in the 2024 class and there was a reason that multiple high-level power five programs were after him.
