ACC Football: Predictions for Every Remaining ACC Bowl Game
By this time next week, bowl game season will be over and the only college football game remaining will be the national championship. The ACC has several bowl games coming up over the next couple of days and a chance for several teams to end their season on a high note. Georgia Tech and Duke got big bowl game wins as underdogs and the ACC has a chance to have a good bowl season if things go right this week.
So who wins the rest of the bowl games in the ACC this week? Let's pick some games.
Wednesday, Dec. 27
Virginia Tech (-10.5) vs Tulane (2:00 p.m. ESPN)
Brent Pry did a fantastic job of getting Virginia Tech to a bowl game this year after missing one in 2022 and they are big favorites for a reason here. Bowl games can sometimes boil down to availability and Tulane is missing head coach Willie Fritz (left for Houston) and quarterback Michael Pratt (Opt-out). Virginia Tech finished the season playing well and should not have much trouble with a Tulane team missing many of its best players.
Final Score: Virginia Tech 34, Tulane 20
North Carolina vs West Virginia (-6.5) (5:30 p.m. ESPN)
Like the Virginia Tech vs Tulane game, availability is the biggest thing and North Carolina is missing its star players for this one. West Virginia enters this game playing well after many thought they would be the worst team in the Big 12 this year. The Tar Heels still have the talent to win this game, but it will be tough without quarterback Drake Maye. West Virginia wins this one.
Final Score: West Virginia 27, North Carolina 17
Louisville (-7) vs USC (8:00 p.m. Fox)
No Caleb Williams, Brendan Rice, Marshon Lloyd, the list could go on and on for USC. Given their poor defense and the chance they don't show up caring about this game, I think Louisville wins handily.
Final Score: Louisville 38, USC 21

SMU (-10) vs Boston College (11:00 A.M. ESPN)
SMU nearly snatched the group of five bid for a major bowl game and they are a double-digit favorite over Boston College this week. The Eagles clinched bowl eligibility and then suffered a series of blowouts. I think SMU has better athletes and their defensive line will control things up front vs the Eagles. Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos can make plays, but SMU wins and covers.
Final Score: SMU 41, Boston College 20
Rutgers (-1) vs Miami (2:15 p.m. ESPN)
Miami is another team that has had a lot of opt-outs for this game. Jacurri Brown will be making his first start of the year at quarterback as well against a really physical Rutgers defense. I anticipate this being a lower scoring game because even though Miami has had some opt-outs, but they still have talent on their roster and they will be motivated to finish the year with eight wins.
Final Score: Miami 24, Rutgers 14
NC State vs Kansas State (-2.5)
This has all the makings of an NC State upset. They are underdogs in the game, much like they have been all year, and they are playing a team that plays a similar style of football that they do. This is likely going to be a low-scoring, defensive affair, and while I think Chris Klieman is a very good coach, but I trust Dave Doeren in this spot.
Final Score: NC State 21, Kansas State 20
Friday, Dec. 29th
Clemson (-5) vs Kentucky (12:00 p.m. ESPN)
Another game that will likely be low-scoring, Clemson and Kentucky is also going to be a very physical game. If Clemson can keep the turnovers to a minimum, I like them to win this game. I don't think Kentucky can move the ball effectively on this Tigers defense and they don't have a consistent enough passing game to win.
Final Score: Clemson 28, Kentucky 21
Saturday, Dec. 30th
Georgia (-17) vs Florida State
It is a shame there have been so many opt-outs for Florida State, because while I still think Georgia will win, I think it would have been an interesting game. With so many guys out for the Seminoles, Georgia will win by as many as they feel like on Saturday.
Final Score: Georgia 45, FSU 10
