It was the wide receivers turn to talk to the media after the latest Georgia Tech practice.

Among the group today was returning starter Malik Rutherford (46 catches, 502 yards and four touchdowns in 2023) and here is everything he talked about after practice.

1. On Coach McKnight and if there have been any major changes...

"No, not really. I feel like Coach M cKnight came in, he did a real good job of just, you know, bonding with us, like, right away, almost right away, I feel like all the guys we, you know, we come in together and, like, we love Coach McKight, I'm not gonna lie, like, he's a very good receiver coach and, like, he's literally teaching us everything that we need to know and that's going to get us prepared for the season."

2. On how much their comfort level with the offense has improved...

"I've been feeling very comfortable, with the offense you know the time, the time and the things is very easy you know me and Haynes (King), we know, like, we got this connection that, like, I feel like it's just, it's gonna be there this year. I feel like it's better than, way better than what was last year, and I felt like he has that with all the guys, because he knows, you know, he knows his receivers, you know, how fast, how fast guys is, you know, rock runners, you know, he's looking here on these type of plays on these reads. So, yeah, I feel like it's gonna be great for us this season."

3. On his expectations for Saturday and what to expect from the offense...

"Just expect us to go out there and compete, just be us. Do the same thing we did last year. Put up a lot of points."

4. On if he set any personal goals for himself this spring...

"Not really. Really just my weight still. I want to get to 170. So we don't want 165 right now. So yeah, that was really the only thing."

5. On the new practice drills...

"Yeah it's just very new I feel like uh that's what we needed as a receiver coach that's what we uh you know told coach that we kind of wanted out of receiver coach you know it's just getting us better like working on our craft that's really uh what coach McKnight really really wants to work on, you know, just getting open, really. So, yeah."

6. On having Leo and Chase back...

"Very exciting for Leo. You know, he been out with those few injuries, so I'm very happy to see him back on the field, you know, because he came in and would be actually fresh in the year. So yeah he's gonna be great for us this year. Chase, you know, Chase coming back he had the injury last year you know he started off the season real good so and this is last season so I'm happy for him for Leo and Chase, it's gonna do great things this year."
