While the date of the start of Georgia Tech's spring practice has yet to be revealed, the date for the annual White and Gold Spring Game was announced today.

Georgia Tech football’s 2024 White and Gold Game will be played on Saturday, April 13 at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Admission for the White and Gold Game is free. Additional information, including parking and broadcast arrangements, will be finalized in the coming weeks per Georgia Tech's press release.

Brent Key was able to accomplish quite a bit in 2023. He led his alma mater to a bowl game victory and a winning season, pulling some big upsets along the way and also keeping the game against No. 1 Georgia competitive. The Yellow Jackets won their first bowl game since 2016 and this program has some forward momentum for the first time in what feels like a long time. Georgia Tech is going to be returning several impact starters from the 2023 team and has a chance to build on its success next season.

When appearing on college sports radio on SiriusXM last weekend, Brent Key talked about the momentum the program has and the leadership coming back, while also mentioning that every season is new and the challenges that come with that:

"You know, you want to talk about momentum, you want to talk about continued success that you have, because you do get momentum rolling at the end of the year and you do want to get that rolling into your offseason workouts, but at the same time it is a different team. We will have 31 different guys that will go out and dress out for spring practice and summer camp and play for us this year, so it is a totally different team.

It is a different mindset, it is a different group of guys, it is different people in the locker room. Thankfully, a lot of leadership from that locker room is back and I think that is important, but you can't really... you can't ride the wave of it, you can't lean on it, I think you can use it as motivation for the team, you know, the reminder of what it is like, but look what happened in the Louisville game that we played last year. We had momentum for a half and then we didn't so... whether it is momentum in a game or momentum in a year, it is one of those things you have to understand that every play is a new play, every day is a new day, every year is a new year, and you have to constantly not forget how you got to where you were."

You can listen to the full clip below.

One thing that Georgia Tech will have working for it is continuity, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The Yellow Jackets return a bulk of their starters from one of the ACC's best offenses and offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner is back calling the plays.

The big questions for Georgia Tech will come on the defensive side of the ball. The Yellow Jackets were the worst defense in the ACC last year, but new hires on that side of the ball, including a new defensive coordinator, should improve them. The question will be how much.
