Georgia Tech Linebacker Paul Moala Officially Declares for 2024 NFL Draft

Moala was a starter at linebacker this year for Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech linebacker Paul Moala announced on social media that he is declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft. Moala ran out of eligibility after this season and was a primary starter at linebacker for the Yellow Jackets this season.

Moala was fifth on the team in tackles, finishing with 58 tackles, two pass deflections, two sacks, and three forced fumbles. Moala was also responsible for one of the biggest plays of the season, forcing a fumble at the end of the win against Miami and setting up one of the most memorable drives in Georgia Tech history.

Moala started his career as a three-star recruit (247Sports) from Mishawaka, IN. He played for three seasons as a member of the Fighting Irish, totaling 22 tackles. He transferred to Idaho last season and had a career-high 44 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions.

Linebacker is going to be a position that Georgia Tech likely tries to fill in the transfer portal. Not only are they losing Moala, but Braelen Oliver and Andre White Jr as well. It is going to be a position that is going to be vital because Georgia Tech is going to have to fix its run defense if they want to improve upon its six wins this season.
