Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs Defeat Philadelphia Eagles In Super Bowl

The former Georgia Tech kicker has won his second Super Bowl

Harrison Butker has won another Super Bowl ring with the Kansas City Chiefs and this time, he won the game with the biggest kick of his career.

Kansas City defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a classic game tonight and while it was not the best game of Butker's career or even the postseason, the former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket has gotten another Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs and it was due to kick at the end of the game with little time remaining on the clock.

Butker missed his first field goal of the game but nailed all five of his extra points in the victory tonight and of course, the game-winning field goal.

Butker won his first Super Bowl with the Chiefs during the 2019 season when Kansas City defeated the San Francisco 49ers.

Tonight's win over the Eagles puts a cap on what has been a crazy year for the former Yellow Jacket. He has spent some of this season hurt and when he came back, he struggled more than he has in any other season of his career, but he was able to finish it off with the biggest kick of his life

Butker has been one of the best kickers in the NFL for the past few seasons, but he has struggled with both injuries and some misses this season.

This season, Butker is 18-24 on field goals and 38-41 on extra points. His six missed field goals are the most in his NFL career.

He was instrumental in both wins for Kansas City during the postseason against the Jaguars and the Bengals.

Butker hit a pair of 50-yard yard field goals against the Jaguars and had a touchdown-saving tackle on a kickoff return and with Patrick Mahomes injured and the offense not moving as well as usual, those points were crucial. He was also 3/3 on extra points.

Against the Bengals, Butker was able to score the first six points of the game, making a 43-yard field goal to take an early 3-0 lead. He then hit a 24-yard field goal at the start of the second quarter to get the Chiefs a 6-0 lead. Butker was perfect on his extra-point attempts as well and that has been a problem for him this year. He would go on to hit the game-winning field goal that sent the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl appearance in four years.

Congrats to Harrison on another Super Bowl title!
