Rejoice college football fans, EA Sports College Football 25 is actually happening.

More information is starting to leak out about the new video game and Georgia Tech officially confirmed today that they are going to be in the new game.

With the Yellow Jackets' involvement in the game, who will be the highest-rated players on the Yellow Jackets? I gave it my best guess.

Note: This is who I am guessing EA will rate the highest when the game is released.

1. QB Haynes King

Quarterbacks usually are the highest-rated players on a team and for Georgia Tech, that is the case. King is one of the best QB's in the ACC for 2024 and I think he will be the highest-rated Yellow Jacket in the game.

King is one of only two players in the nation with at least 2,700 passing yards, 600 rushing yards, 25 touchdown passes, and five touchdown runs this season (joining LSU’s Jayden Daniels), and one of only six ACC players to achieve those numbers in a regular season since 2000. He led the ACC in touchdown passes and was fourth in passing yards.

According to PFF (Pro Football Focus), King will be the fourth-highest-graded returning quarterback in the ACC, behind SMU's Preston Stone (91.3 Overall Grade), Florida State's DJ Uiagalelei (82.0), and Miami's Cam Ward (80.7).

2. WR Eric Singleton Jr

Singleton Jr. ranked fourth among all freshmen nationally (true or redshirt) in 2023 with 59.5 receiving yards per game and was tied for fourth among true freshmen nationally with six touchdown receptions. His 714 receiving yards and six touchdown catches both ranked among the top 10 overall in the Atlantic Coast Conference, while his six TD receptions were the second-most by a freshman in Georgia Tech history.

3. RB Jamal Haynes

Jamal Haynes was such a great story last season. He made the change from wide receiver to running back during fall camp and that move paid dividends. Haynes earned all-ACC honors as a running back (third team) and was an honorable mention all-purpose performer. He led Georgia Tech with 1,059 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, and six yards per carry ranked second on the team. Those numbers ranked fifth in the ACC in rushing yards and he was tied for sixth in the conference with seven rushing touchdowns and his 6.0 yards per carry ranked third in the league.

Haynes had a strong bowl performance against UCF rushing for a game-high 128 yards on 18 carries. He also had a good outing against the Georgia Bulldogs rushing for 81 yards. Haynes was the second highest-rated player on the Yellow Jackets per Pro Football Focus with an 80.7 score and looks primed for another big season in 2024.

4. DB LaMiles Brooks

Brooks is going to be one of the leaders on the defense for Georgia Tech in 2024 and I think he will be one of the highest-rated Yellow Jackets in the game. He finished last season with 67 tackles and one interception and has the talent to make an All-ACC team in 2024. I think Brooks will likely be the highest-rated defensive player for the Yellow Jackets.

5. DB Ahmari Harvey

The secondary appears to be Georgia Tech's strength going into the 2024 season. For the season, Harvey finished second on the team and tied for fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference with three interceptions, and also ranked among the ACC’s top 25 with six passes defended (half of which came in the Gasparilla Bowl win over UCF). He tallied 31 tackles (28 solo) while appearing in 11 games and making six starts at cornerback as a redshirt sophomore in 2023.

Harvey recorded six tackles (all solo), two pass breakups and an interception in Georgia Tech’s decisive win over UCF on Dec. 22 in Tampa, Fla. His interception with 1:28 to go in the game sealed the Yellow Jackets’ first postseason victory since their 33-18 triumph over Kentucky in the 2016 TaxSlayer (Gator) Bowl.

6. OL Joe Fusile

Georgia Tech saw one of the biggest improvements in the country from its offensive line last season and they led the way for the top rushing attack in the ACC. Fusile showed huge growth last season, his second as a starter, and finished as the highest-graded offensive lineman for the Yellow Jackets.

7. OL Weston Franklin

I can almost copy and paste my comments about Fusile and apply them to Franklin. Franklin showed a lot of growth in his second year as the starter at center and Georgia Tech's offensive line is going to be among the best in the ACC next year because of Franklin.

8. DB Clayton Powell-Lee

Powell-Lee is the second highest-rated returning defender for the Yellow Jackets according to PFF and he was the second-leading tackler on the team last year with 70 and he also had an interception. Powell-Lee has seen the field since he was a freshman and his junior year in 2024 has a chance to be his best yet.

9. OL Jordan Williams

Another key piece to the Yellow Jackets offensive line, Williams has played both guard and tackle during his career on The Flats and has done well at both. He is back for another season and Georgia Tech hopes to be the top rushing attack in the ACC again, as well as being one of the top offensive lines in sacks allowed.

10. WR Malik Rutherford

Rutherford brings a lot of speed to the Georgia Tech offense and is in for a big 2024. I think he will have one of the highest speed ratings in the entire game.

Rutherford was the second-leading receiver at Georgia Tech. He caught 46 passes for 502 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 10.9 yards per catch. His biggest performance came in Georgia Tech's big win over North Carolina. Rutherford caught six passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
