Adam Morrison on Gonzaga potentially missing the NCAA Tournament: 'I don't want those kids to have that burden'

The Bulldogs will likely have to win the WCC Tournament to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the 25th straight year

Time is running out for the Gonzaga Bulldogs to put together an at-large resume for the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee.

Currently No. 28 in the NET Rankings, Gonzaga is just one of three teams in the top 50 without a Quad 1 victory on the season, along with Wake Forest and SMU. Since the NET was introduced in the 2018-19 season, only four teams have received an at-large bid with fewer than two Quad 1 wins — NC State (2023), Syracuse (2021), Drake (2021) and Nevada (2019).

History isn't on Gonzaga's side at the moment, though any risk of missing the NCAA Tournament is washed away with a WCC Tournament championship in March. Until then, the Bulldogs play game-by-game.

Former Gonzaga All-American Adam Morrison broke down his thoughts on Gonzaga's situation and much more on an episode of The Perimeter.

“Hopefully they figure it out," Morrison said. "I don’t want those kids to have that burden of the team that broke [the NCAA Tournament] streak.”
