Andrew Nembhard thinks the Zags will 'make some noise' in the 2024 NCAA Tournament: 'None of these teams want to see Gonzaga in the first round'

Nembhard joined Talking Zags during the NBA All-Star break

Former Gonzaga Bulldogs point guard Andrew Nembhard thinks the Zags are being overlooked.

Nembhard, who was in Spokane during the NBA All-Star break, shared his thoughts on the current state of Mark Few's program, including why another run at the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament could be in the cards.

“They’re better than what their record may seem,” Nembhard said on Talking Zags. "Once we get into the [NCAA] Tournament we could be a wildcard team that upsets a lot of teams. I think there’s a lot of excitement for this team heading toward March Madness."

“They have a chance to make some noise in the [NCAA] Tournament for sure. I see a second-weekend tournament team out of these guys”

Nembhard, in his second season with the Indiana Pacers, stopped by Talking Zags with Dan Dickau to discuss what he's seen from the Bulldogs this season, his younger brother Ryan Nembhard and the biggest learning curve he's faced in the NBA. Watch the full episode in the video above.
