Former Gonzaga men's basketball standout Corey Kispert will have his No. 24 jersey retired by his alma mater Kings High School (Washington) on Dec. 20, per the Edmonds Beacon.

A native of Edmonds, Washington, Kispert was a four-year letterman at Kings High School from 2013-17 and guided the Knights to back-to-back 1A state championships in 2015 and 2016. He averaged 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.3 steals during his junior year, as he was named the MVP of the WIAA Hardwood Classic. Before breaking his foot as a senior, Kispert was putting up 25 points per game.

Kispert was a four-star recruit and top five player in the state when he committed to play at Gonzaga after his junior season. He notably chose Mark Few's program over Utah, Washington, Washington State, USC and Virginia.

During his senior season at Gonzaga, Kispert was named a first-team All-American, the West Coast Conference Player of the Year and captured the Julius Erving Award as the nation's top small forward. Averaging 18.6 points and shooting 44% on 3-point attempts, he helped the Bulldogs to a 31-1 record and the program's second NCAA National Championship game appearance. The 6-foot-6 forward finished his collegiate career with the third-most wins in program history (137) and the fourth-most 3-pointers made (270).

Kispert was selected 15th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards. Just three games into the 2023-24 season, he had his $5.71 million team option picked up for the 2024-25 season. He's averaging a career-best 11.2 points for the Wizards through 19 games.
