Dan Dickau expects Drew Timme to sign NBA G-League contract

Former Gonzaga All-American believes Timme will sign with the Milwaukee Bucks' G-League team

After being waived by the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, Drew Timme's NBA career was put on pause.

The former Gonzaga men's basketball star was released after appearing in two preseason games with the Bucks, who signed Timme to a two-way contract back in August. There weren't many opportunities for Timme, who played a total of 13 minutes in the preseason, but that doesn't mean the 6-foot-10 forward is completely out of luck.

Under NBA waiver rules, teams have 48 hours to claim Timme. Given that some NBA teams haven't finalized their 2023-24 rosters yet, there's a chance Timme signs with the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks' G-League affiliate.

Former Gonzaga All-American Dan Dickau explains why he thinks Timme will be on the Herd's roster by the G-League season opener in an episode of the Gonzaga Nation podcast.
