Dan Dickau on the Bulldogs heading to Kentucky as underdogs: 'Gonzaga knows its backs are against the wall'

Bulldogs face Portland before heading down to Lexington, Kentucky, to face the No. 17 Wildcats

Opportunities for the Gonzaga Bulldogs to improve their postseason resume are dwindling, making Saturday's game at No. 17 Kentucky that much more important.

The Wildcats (15-6, 5-3 SEC) sit just ahead of the Bulldogs in the NET Rankings at No. 26 after dropping back-to-back games at Rupp Arena to Florida and No. 6 Tennessee last week. John Calipari's program has struggled on the defensive end as of late, where it ranks 102nd in efficiency per KenPom. However, the young talent led by Antonio Reeves (19.5 points per game) and Rob Dillingham (15.3 ppg) has Kentucky averaging 88.8 points this season, third-most in the country.

Gonzaga has yet to earn a Quad 1 win (0-5) this season but could drastically improve its NCAA Tournament hopes with an upset at Rupp Arena.

Former Gonzaga All-American Dan Dickau previewed the Bulldogs' high-profile matchup in an episode of Gonzaga Nation.
