Gonzaga has been immersed in conference realignment rumors for well over a year, with most of the talk centered around the Bulldogs potentially leaving the West Coast Conference for the Big 12 or Big East.

But that script flipped on Wednesday when it was reported that the WCC was in line to add Washington State and Oregon State for men's and women's basketball, expanding the league from nine to 11 programs for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. The WCC's leaders voted on Thursday to add both schools as affiliate members in most non-football sports for the 2024-25 academic year, per a report from The Athletic.

Gonzaga athletic director Chris Standiford joined Gonzaga Nation to share his insight on conference realignment, the NIL landscape and the future of college athletics with former Gonzaga All-American Dan Dickau.
