LAS VEGAS - Gonzaga star Drew Timme had been close to unstoppable in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Timme was whistled for his fourth foul with 17:39 left in Gonzaga's Elite Eight matchup with UConn on Saturday night. The foul call came well after the play was over and caused confusion on the court.

Here is the play:

This is a play that happens on almost every possession when big men battle for position under the basket. It is hard to understand how this gets called in an Elite Eight NCAA Tournament game.

With Timme on the bench, UConn pulled away from Gonzaga in the second half for an 82-54 victory.

After the game the TBS college basketball crew weighed in on the call. And they all hated it.

"That was a bad call in that situation," said Charles Barkley. "I hate that call."
