Gonzaga target Zoom Diallo 'in final decision making mode'
Zoom Diallo, the 19th overall recruit in the 2024 class, is down to four schools and is in a "final decision-making mode" he told 247Sports.
The Tacoma, Washington, native will choose between Gonzaga, Washington, Arizona and USC. Diallo has taken official visits with all four of his finalists, with his most recent being a trip to Tuscon, Arizona, on Oct. 18. Florida State and Kansas were considered at one point, though Diallo replaced the Jayhawks and Seminoles with Kentucky and Texas in May.
In August, the 6-foot-4 guard told On3 that Alabama jumped into the recruiting mix and an official visit could be arranged. Since then, Diallo has refined his options down to four.
“I’m in final decision-making mode,” Diallo told 247Sports. “I’m starting to narrow it down little by little and getting closer and closer to a decision. That’s what’s going on.”

Here's what Diallo told 247Sports about his relationship with Gonzaga:
“They’re another hometown school that’s a national powerhouse known for winning. They have a history of producing pros so why not.”
It was thought that USC would be out of the Diallo sweepstakes after landing four-star guard Trent Perry, another Gonzaga target, though Diallo stated the Trojans are pursuing him to take over the reins in the event that Isiah Collier leaves after this season. Head coach Andy Enfield has done well on the recruiting trail with two top-10 classes in 2022 and 2023. Diallo would be his third five-star recruit since 2020.
Washington has recruited Diallo since he was a freshman at Curtis High School and remains in contention despite his move south to Prolific Prep (California). Name, Image and Likeness is potentially playing a role in the Huskies' pursuit of Diallo.
Arizona appears to be a legitimate threat to land Diallo after hosting him for an exhibition game against Lewis-Clark State. It was Diallo's second official visit to campus, as he took a trip to see Tommy Lloyd's program in October 2022. Rivals.com gives the Wildcats the best odds at landing Diallo.
As for Gonzaga, Mark Few and the coaching staff have made Diallo a priority for some time now. The staff visited the Bay Area multiple times in September to see Diallo, who took an official visit to Spokane in January to watch the Zags defeat Portland. With the future of the backcourt up in the air for next season, the addition of Diallo would go a long way for the Bulldogs.
