Bulldogs open as 15.5-point favorites over the Lions

The Gonzaga Bulldogs eye their fifth-straight win Tuesday when they host Loyola Marymount at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

The Bulldogs (15-5, 6-1 WCC) outlasted Pacific, 82-73, in Stockton, California, on Saturday. After his team trailed at halftime, Graham Ike took over down low as he scored 18 of his team-high 20 points in the second half. Gonzaga connected on five straight 3-point attempts down the stretch to help build a double-digit with three minutes to go.

Ike has scored 20 or more points in three of his last four games and leads the team at 15.3 points per game. Anton Watson chips in 14.7 points and a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game. Ryan Nembhard paces the West Coast Conference with 6.1 assists per game while posting the best assist: turnover ratio (2.7).

The Lions (10-11, 3-4) are coming off a 70-65 loss at Saint Mary's on Saturday. Keli Leaupepe and Will Johnston each had 15 points while Justin Wright had 14 in 20 minutes off the bench. LMU outshot the Gaels from the field and won the rebounding battle, 31-26.

Gonzaga hosts Dominick Harris, Loyola Marymount in WCC clash

Gonzaga transfer Dominick Harris, who spent three seasons in Spokane before transferring to LMU in May, leads the Lions at 14.7 points per game. The 6-foot-3 redshirt junior shoots 43.3% on 3-point attempts, the best mark in the WCC.

Gonzaga is 8-11-0 against the spread and has failed to cover its last two games, per covers.com. The Bulldogs are 4-5 ATS when favored at home and 4-9 ATS after a win, according to teamrankings.com. The team is 4-4 ATS when favored by 15 or more points.

LMU is 10-10 ATS and has covered in five of its last six games. The Lions are 6-4 ATS following a loss and 2-2 as the underdog on the road. The total points has hit the "over" in three of their past four games.

In the head-to-head series, Gonzaga has won 30 of the last 32 meetings straight-up and is 6-4 ATS in the last 10 games against LMU. The Lions pulled off a stunning 68-67 upset in Spokane last season, followed by a 108-65 route from the Bulldogs in Los Angeles a few weeks later.
