Make no mistake about it, Yale has the full attention of the Gonzaga Bulldogs' coaching staff as they prepare for a difficult season opener on Friday.

Yale, which was picked to win the Ivy League, returns nearly 3/4 of its scoring output from a team that split the conference regular season title last season. The Bulldogs from New Haven, Connecticut, were superb on both ends of floor, as they led the Ivy League in offensive and defensive efficiency according to KenPom. Head coach James Jones has guided the program to three NCAA Tournament appearances and is line for a fourth in 2023-24.

Gonzaga, meanwhile, boasts a handful of newcomers and returners who are expected to take on new roles this season. While continuity isn't a strong suit, the Zags certainly have the talent to get the job done, as Ryan Nembhard, Graham Ike and Anton Watson are all considered among the top players at their respective positions nationally.

Gonzaga assistant coach Brian Michaelson joined Gonzaga Nation host Dan Dickau to break down the challenges Yale presents.
