Gonzaga's Mark Few on Ryan Nembhard's big night vs. Pacific: 'We've leaned on him really hard'

Bulldogs point guard had 18 points, 11 assists and five rebounds in 102-76 win over the Tigers

Ryan Nembhard picked a special night to have one of his best games in a Gonzaga Bulldogs uniform.

With his older brother and Gonzaga basketball alum Andrew Nembhard in attendance, Ryan stuffed the stat sheet against the Pacific Tigers with 18 points, 11 assists and five rebounds in a 102-76 win at The Kennel on Saturday. It was the junior guard's second-straight double-double; he finished with 16 points and 11 assists against Loyola Marymount on Thursday.

"I mean, gosh his numbers — 10 assists, one turnover tonight. I think he was 11 assists and [three turnovers] the other day and then obviously managed the Kentucky game just great, along with all the adversity they can bring with size and athleticism," said Mark Few after the Pacific game.

"We've leaned on him really hard. It was nice he only played 34 minutes tonight so that's a nice little rest ... but yeah I think he's figured guys out more and we've figured out better actions and situations to put him in and I think everyone's much more on the same page."

Here's what Few had to say in his postgame interview:

On Gonzaga's offensive efficiency as of late:

"We had a good week on offense, even back to Kentucky. Our offense has been really clicking really well, guys have been sharing it and just making the right basketball play and then part of it is just stepping up and making shots. Guys have done a nice job. Nolan especially has really been hunting shots and obviously Graham has been delivering in there."

On getting Dusty Stromer more involved:

"I have no idea [how to get Stromer more involved]. If I had that answer we'd have it solved by now. He needs to be more assertive and play more confident. Hopefully some good things will happen."

On Andrew Nembhard's return to The Kennel:

"It was great. I got some good time with him this afternoon. He's just such a great guy, such a great Zag with just such an awesome family. It's always good when [former players] come back."
