While Kraziness in the Kennel provided the first glimpse at this year's Gonzaga men's basketball team, fans will have to wait a little longer to see Graham Ike in action.

Roughly 20 minutes before Saturday's festivities began, the school announced that Ike was not participating due to a right leg injury. Ike, who transferred from Wyoming this offseason, was introduced in the Kennel and wore his No. 13 jersey.

The injury is to the same leg that kept Ike sidelined for the entire 2022-23 season. Ike registered 19.5 points and 9.6 rebounds in 2021-22, placing second in the Mountain West in both statistical categories.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pounder is expected to be a key contributor for Gonzaga, which is coming off an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Ike is part of a talented frontcourt group that includes returning forwards Anton Watson and Ben Gregg.

Watson, who started all 37 games for the Bulldogs last season, put up 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Gregg averaged 5.1 points and 3.0 rebounds off the bench.

The next opportunity for Ike to play will come during Gonzaga's exhibition against Lewis-Clark State on Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. PST at the McCarthey Athletic Center.
