Bulldogs host the Pilots at The Kennel

The Gonzaga Bulldogs look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host a rejuvenated Portland Pilots squad riding a two-game win streak.

Gonzaga (16-6, 7-2 WCC) let a critical West Coast Conference affair slip through its grasp in a 64-62 loss to Saint Mary's on Saturday. The Bulldogs led the game for 30 minutes, including an 11-2 start out of the gate, but an 8-0 scoring run from the Gaels late in the second half was enough to seize momentum. Augustus Marciulionis nailed a 3-pointer to put Saint Mary's up 63-57 with 36 seconds to play, in which Anton Watson answered with a triple of his own, but it wasn't enough as the Gaels left The Kennel with a two-game lead in the conference standings.

Portland (9-15, 3-6 WCC) snapped its six-game losing streak with a pair of wins over Pacific (65-60) and Pepperdine (93-89) last week. The Pilots, who lead the WCC in 3-pointers made this season, knocked down 16 triples in the win over the Waves and had 19 assists on 33 made field goals. Tyler Robertson (16.5 points per game, second-most in the WCC) led with 24 points.

Gonzaga has won 16-straight over Portland and is 41-6 in head-to-head meetings at home.
