No. 9 Gonzaga is riding a season-long seven-game win streak and will look to keep its momentum rolling in the Bulldogs' West Coast Conference road opener against San Francisco on Thursday (January 5).

The Zags kicked off WCC play last week with a 111-88 win at home over Pepperdine in a game that saw Drew Timme pour in a season-high 35 points to go along with 10 rebounds and five assists. 

The Bulldogs have now won 27 consecutive WCC openers. 

The win helped propel Gonzaga (12-3) to No. 9 in the latest AP Poll, and moved Timme into fourth place on Gonzaga’s all-time scoring list with 1,861 points as he continues to close in on the Bulldogs' scoring record.

Timme's 35 points against Pepperdine were just two points shy of his career-high of 37 points set last year against Texas. 

Gonzaga currently leads the country in shooting percentage from the field (52.6%) and is fifth in NCAA Division 1 averaging 86.9 points per game.

Next up for the Bulldogs is their 91st all-time meeting with San Franciso (11-6), over who they hold a 68-22 series advantage. 

Gonzaga has won the past 24 meetings with the Dons and is 47-4 against them under head coach Mark Few. 

San Francisco suffered back-to-back 12-point losses to open its WCC schedule but has won games against some big-name opponents this year, including a 97-60 blowout victory over previously No. 25 Arizona State and a 75-73 thriller over UNLV. 

The Dons' best player this season has been senior guard Khalil Shabazz, who averages a team-best 15.5 points and 3.5 assists per game.
